Mom & Baby Pilates Walking Class with Alisa When: Tuesdays and Thursdays 8.45am - 9.45am Where: Meet at Bernal Yoga 8.45am - 461 Cortland Ave Join Pilates Heights instructor and mom, Alisa Clayton, on Tuesdays and Thursdays for this fun , new class! Walking with your baby is a great way to get out of the house and work on returning to your pre-pregnancy body. We will meet at Bernal Yoga for a 10-15 minute warm-up of core strengthening exercises and stretches, followed by a 40-45 minute walk with strollers through lovely Bernal Heights and outlying areas. This class is designed for moms with babies who are not walking yet, so bring your strollers and a sense of humor and join us for an exhilarating 60 minutes! Pilates Basics is perfect for you if you are new to Pilates, a new mom, recovering from an injury (with doctor's permission), a continuing student wanting to brush up on proper alignment / positioning. Join us and learn the Pilates fundamentals in a safe, engaging and fun environment! Level I/II - A moderately paced class, Level I/II is suited for enthusiastic beginners as well as seasoned Pilates students. You’ll be guided through the classic mat repertoire, incorporating props for greater core awareness. In these classes, fluidity of movement, flexibility, proper alignment and breath will be emphasized. Level II – A more rigorous & dynamic flow for continuing Pilates students who are ready for the next step in their core fitness. In this class you’ll find more weight bearing exercises through the upper body, exercises that require a deeper awareness of your core as well as more control over your movement. |
